He wore a Rolex on his wrist and accessorized with a vintage bee pin on his lapel, a nod to Bee:wild, a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring and protecting natural habitats. The One Battle After Another star walked the red carpet alone, but brought along his longtime girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti as his date, making it a breakthrough night. Ceretti also attended the ceremony wearing a red dress, marking their first appearance at the Oscars as a couple.
The two were photographed sitting together during Conan O’Brien’s opening monologue.
They were then photographed together in the bleachers.
DiCaprio and Ceretti had never attended a US awards ceremony together until last night. The actor keeps his relationships out of the spotlight.
In December, he explained to Time magazine his approach to maintaining privacy while navigating his life as a public figure, explaining it as, “I’ve maintained a balance all my adult life, but still, I’m no expert. I think my simple philosophy is that I only go out and do something when I have something to say or something to show for it. Otherwise, I just disappear as much as possible.”
Accustomed to fame and overwhelming attention during his time on Titanic, he adopted this mindset. “I thought, how can I have a long career?” he recalled asking himself. “Because I love what I do, and I feel the best way to have a long career is to get out of people’s faces.”
DiCaprio and Ceretti were first romantically linked in 2023, but they spent most of their relationship away from the spotlight. They were recently photographed enjoying a Valentine’s Day date in Los Angeles.
