On Sunday night, Lauren Sanchez was caught pushing her husband Jeff Bezos away as they posed for photos on the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2026.
The awkward moment was captured on camera and uploaded to Vanity Fair’s official X account.
It showed Sanchez, 56, and Bezos, 62, posing together at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, with the former journalist gesturing for the Amazon founder to step aside.
Once Bezos stepped out of the frame, Sanchez continued to pose alone.
She wore an all-black ensemble consisting of a vintage John Galliano strapless gown, tights, heels, and 85 carats of stunning diamonds designed by Lorraine Schwartz.
Bezos complemented his wife’s ensemble with a classic black tuxedo and matching bow tie.
Sanchez and her billionaire husband are no strangers to the party, having attended the annual Vanity Fair Oscar Party together for the past two years.
Last year, three months before the couple tied the knot in a star-studded Italian wedding in June 2025, Sanchez wore a white feathered mermaid dress by Oscar de la Renta paired with emeralds by Lorraine Schwartz.
In 2024, she shocked in a bright red Lever Couture dress, ruffled train, and diamond necklace.
Meanwhile, Sanchez and Bezos were joined by Hollywood luminaries at this year’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party, including Nicole Kidman, Jesse Buckley, Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, and Kim Kardashian.
The two are honorary co-chairs and lead sponsors of the 2026 Met Gala in May, and have a busy season ahead of them.
“It was a really fun and rewarding experience,” Sanchez said during an appearance on Today earlier this month. “Anna called me and said, ‘Would you like to be co-chair and sponsor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art?’” It was such an honor. ”
She added, “It’s incredible to see what everyone is wearing and really celebrate all the designers. I can’t wait.”
