Lauren Sanchez Bezos didn’t let a little misstep stop her from meeting Dior at Paris Fashion Week.
The 56-year-old author attended Christian Dior’s Spring/Summer 2026 Haute Couture show during Paris Fashion Week on Monday, January 26, with her husband Jeff Bezos. The newlyweds entered one of the Paris venues holding hands while waving at the cameras.
Mr. Bezos, 62, wore a dark blue blazer and pants, paired with a button-down shirt and tie. Sanchez-Bezos wore a matching light gray tweed set, a form-fitting knee-length skirt and a sweater with a large fur collar.
Sanchez Bezos accessorized his look with suede gray point-toe pumps. As she was entering the building, her right shoe got caught on the ledge at the building’s entrance, and she almost fell, but quickly recovered and slipped back into the building.

The couple were also photographed heading to the Schiaparelli spring/summer show earlier in the day. At the recent event, Sanchez Bezos wore a bright red jacket cinched at the waist with golden buttons. The knee-length pencil skirt was matched with bright red suede point-toe pumps.
The Amazon founder opted for a darker look: a black blazer, a black button-down shirt with a few buttons undone, black pants, and leather loafers.
The couple’s stay in Paris comes a month after they enjoyed a western-style winter during a trip to Aspen, Colorado, on Christmas Eve.
During a pre-Christmas outing, Bezos was photographed sporting a gray beard, a departure from his previously clean-shaven image. Mr. Bezos wore a unique outfit that included a black jacket, jeans, and a cowboy hat.

The pair’s fashion-forward outing signals a new direction for Bezos’ wardrobe, which was once dominated by simple business attire. The pivot is for the couple to serve as major donors for the upcoming 2026 Met Gala.
The two made their Met Gala debut as a couple in 2024, but Bezos has attended multiple times over the past few years. Saint Laurent and Condé Nast will also donate towards the event.
The next Met Gala will be themed “Costume Art” and will mark the opening of the institute’s first permanent gallery at the museum. The approximately 12,000-square-foot Conde M. Nast Gallery will be adjacent to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Great Hall, and its opening marks a “huge moment for the Costume Institute,” said curator in charge Andrew Bolton. Co-chairs include Wintour, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Beyoncé, who is returning to the Met Gala for the first time in 10 years.
