Lauren Sanchez is ready to have a baby with husband Jeff Bezos.
The 56-year-old former journalist said she would absolutely welcome having children with the Amazon founder.
“I’m going to have another baby tomorrow. Tomorrow,” she told The New York Times in an article published Saturday, encouraging the writer to have another baby. “The baby might be born tomorrow.”
A spokesperson later clarified to the newspaper that Sanchez is not expecting children with Bezos, 62.
Sanchez is already the mother of three children from a previous relationship. She has a son, Nikko, 25, with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez. She has son Evan, 19, and daughter Ella, 18, with her ex-husband, businessman Patrick Whitesell.
Bezos, on the other hand, is the father of three sons and a daughter with his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott, whom he keeps secretive about.
Sanchez also spoke about her relationship with Bezos, whom she married in June 2025 in a star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy.
“I talk to him about everything. Everything!” she said. “Jeff is my best friend. I don’t say that lightly.”
She referenced her friendships with celebrities such as Kris Jenner and Leonardo DiCaprio, saying of the latter, “People act like he’s my new friend. No, I’ve known Leo since I was 25. Since I was 25.”
Sanchez and Bezos mingled with A-listers at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party last month, where they were posed for a hilarious photobomb by Nicole Kidman on the gray carpet.
Kidman attracted the attention of photographers as she walked onto the carpet and eventually began taking pictures alongside the couple, who stopped to pose and marveled at the Big Little Lies star dominating the room.
Cameras also captured an awkward moment between Mr. Sanchez and Mr. Bezos, with Mr. Sanchez pushing Mr. Bezos away for a few solo shots.
She wore an all-black ensemble consisting of a vintage John Galliano strapless dress, tights, heels, and 85 carats of diamonds designed by Lorraine Schwartz.
