What you need to know
Lauren Jauregui is ready to say whatever she wants this year.
The 29-year-old “Ego” singer recently told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview what she’s most looking forward to in 2026.
“I’m in the middle of a Saturn return right now,” the Fifth Harmony alum said, referring to the popular astrological event in which Saturn returns to its exact location at the time of birth.
“And I’m turning 30[June 27]so I’m really looking forward to that. I’m looking forward to continuing to step into myself and discovering myself and what life has to offer me,” Jauregui added at The Hollywood Reporter and Spotify’s pre-Golden Globe Party in Los Angeles on January 8.

The Dancing with the Stars alum also reflected on her life so far.
“I definitely gained a lot of perspective on different aspects of life,” she explained. “But I think about how hard I am on myself.”
“I reached a point where I didn’t have to be the toughest person in the world on myself when everyone else was already so tough and the world was already so tough,” Jauregui continued. “So I’m really creating that safe space for myself right now. I’m really looking forward to it allowing me to grow even more, to feel safe inside.”

At the pre-Golden Globe event, Jauregui also talked about his latest single, “Ego,” which was released shortly after his DWTS journey ended.
“It’s a soft rock song that’s introspective and about putting your ego aside and finding an honest connection, which we all need to do,” she said.
