There is one vote left unfilled.
Lauren Conrad gave an awkward response when asked about her former “Hills” co-star Spencer Pratt’s run for mayor of Los Angeles.
On Wednesday’s episode of “Today” with “Laguna Beach” alums Stephen Colletti and Kristin Cavallari, hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones asked the trio if they would vote for Pratt.
“I’m not a Los Angeles resident,” Conrad replied, to which Colletti joked, “We live in Orange County.”
Cavallari also said of Pratt’s campaign, “I’ve seen it everywhere.” “You can’t escape from it.”
“I don’t live in Los Angeles either, but I think he’s up to something,” she added. “Let’s see what happens. I’ve always had a thing for Spencer.”
The talk show hosts then asked if Conrad and Pratt had since broken up about their time on the MTV reality show.
Conrad remained silent, staring at Cavallari. She then claimed she didn’t know the question was directed at her, leading to awkward laughter in the group.
After the shooting scene calmed down, the fashion designer answered passively, “Of course.”
“You’re asking me about people I haven’t talked to in decades,” Conrad elaborated, echoing Bush Hager’s sentiment that he “doesn’t care” at this point.
It’s safe to say that Pratt might not be her first choice for mayor, even if Conrad lives in her voting district.
The two share a rocky past, dating back to their time on MTV’s “The Hills” from 2006 to 2010.
Pratt and his wife Heidi Montag, who married in 2008 and have sons Gunner and Riker, appeared in all six seasons of the series.
Meanwhile, Conrad left the spin-off Laguna Beach midway through season five.
Montag and Conrad were best friends until Montag accused Montag of spreading rumors about an alleged sex tape he filmed with his ex-girlfriend Jason Waller.
This suspicion spurred the infamous scene in which Conrad yells at Montag, “You know what you did!”
Despite the massive feud, Montag revealed in 2023 that her former best friend was actually a big fan of Pratt before things got complicated.
“So actually, she was so close to Spencer that I was like, ‘Okay, you don’t have to love me that much!'” she said on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast at the time.
While Conrad and Pratt moved away from reality TV, the Prince of Malibu alum threw himself into a different kind of circus: local politics.
Pratt is running for mayor of Los Angeles after losing his Pacific Palisades home in last year’s devastating wildfires.
The television veteran, a Republican, currently ranks second behind Mayor Karen Bass, according to a recent poll from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs.
