It has been announced that Lana Condor will be appearing as a guest star in Season 3 of the CBS police drama “Elsbeth.” She will play the much younger girlfriend of a college basketball coach in the drama, which is a spin-off of “The Good Wife” and “The Good Fight.”
Condor’s character, named Peyton, uses her influence to act as a de facto assistant coach, despite the team and fans wanting her to remain on the sidelines. When the school’s athletic director dies after a heated argument with Payton, the campus gleefully condemns the most hated woman in college basketball.
“Elsbeth” season 3 will premiere on Oct. 12, starring Carrie Preston as de facto detective Elsbeth Tascioni. Most of the show functions as a “How Catch Me” mystery rather than a “Whodunnit.” That is, viewers usually know who the killer is at the beginning of each episode. The series premiered in February 2024, and the second season began just a few months after the first season aired.
“Elsbeth” features a vibrant guest star list, including Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Alan Ruck, Jane Krakowski, David Alan Grier, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Mary-Louise Parker, and Tracey Ullman. Season 3 stars Julia Fox as a New York City “grief influencer” and Stephen Colbert as a late-night host.
Condor is an actor and YouTuber who made her film debut as Jubilee in the 2016 superhero film X-Men: Apocalypse. She is best known for her role as Lara Jean Covey, opposite Noah Centineo in the To All the Boys film series. She recently appeared in Valiant One alongside Chase Stokes and will next be seen in David Leitch’s action vehicle Ballerina Overdrive.
