Lala Kent is still “numb” about her “nightmare” co-parenting situation with ex-fiancé Randall Emmett – nearly four years after their breakup.
“It’s always a nightmare,” the reality TV star admitted to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy at BravoCon 2025.
“I’m kind of numb at the moment,” she added of co-parenting her 4-year-old daughter Ocean with her ex. “We still communicate through apps. We’re still co-parenting in parallel.”
“Sometimes it’s good, but it passes, so I don’t hold on to it,” Kent confessed.
“Every time I look at Sosa, I think, ‘That was the best decision I ever made, girl,'” she joked about her second child, born last year and conceived by a sperm donor.
Kent, 35, and Emmett, 54, welcomed Ocean in March 2021 while they were still dating.
In October of the same year, Page Six exclusively revealed that the “Vanderpump Rules” alum ended her three-year engagement with Emmett after the disgraced movie producer allegedly cheated on her in Nashville.
By 2023, Emmett was making headlines as the central figure in an FBI investigation into “alleged child exploitation and pedophilia,” leading Kent to fight for full custody of their daughter.
The FBI told Page Six at the time that it could neither confirm nor deny the existence of an investigation into Emmett. He vehemently denied these allegations and was never criminally charged.
Last year, the reality star exclusively gave Page Six an update on how their “chaotic” custody battle was going.
“It’s really chaotic on his side, and I don’t think there’s going to be resolution anytime soon,” she told Us at Bravo’s Season 11 premiere event in Los Angeles. “I want (the end) to come, but it’s still coming.”
Back in March 2025, Kent revealed during an Amazon livestream that he and Emmett had finally settled their custody battle over Ocean.
“Guys, the custody battle is over. It’s officially over,” she admitted. “After more than three years, we were able to sign the best deal for our daughter Ocean. We are very, very happy.”
The Bravolebrity admitted that the custody proceedings have been “weighing on[her]heart and soul” for a long time.
“I think my ex-boyfriend was the same way. I’m really glad we got to a place that’s good for our child’s well-being.”
Page Six has reached out to Emmett’s representatives for comment.
