Mayhem singers sang “Abracadabra” and “Dead Dance.” She pre-recorded the VMA performance as she needs to be at Madison Square Garden for the Mayhemball tour tonight.
Lady Gaga was able to be in two places at once this Sunday night. She sang “Abracadabra” and “Dead Dance” thanks to both the Mayhemball Tour Show at Madison Square Garden and registered performances at the 2025 MTV VMA. However, she made a live appearance at the ceremony earlier in the show, accepting the Artist of the Year award.

It was announced that Gaga will be participating in the show on August 30th, which she posted on Instagram.

In February, the star discussed her latest album with Elle UK and explained how much it would make sense to release new music.
“First of all, it’s an absolute privilege and honor to be able to release music that many people are so excited to hear,” she shared. “I am truly honored to be a singer, songwriter and music producer.
She continued, “It was hard to name the album Mayhem because at first I didn’t want to make that feeling real. I’m a hopeful person too. I’m a dreamer, but what I think I’ve finally reached is the fractures of who we are, and the breakdowns in the middle of the world, and listen to it in the middle of the world!”
