Lady Gaga sweetly reveals her favorite smell is her fiancé Michael Polanski’s neck

Lady Gaga is good at taking notes!

The 14-time Grammy winner, 39, opened up about her relationship with fiancé Michael Polanski during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, revealing intimate details about the man she’s enjoying.

When asked by the host to name her “favorite smell” as part of her famous “Colbert Question Box” segment, Gaga answered without hesitation: “Michael’s head.”

In response, Colbert asked Polanski additional questions to find out why it was the “Bad Romance” singer’s favorite scent.

“Michael, do you wear cologne?” he asked the entrepreneur and technology investor.

Gaga immediately jumped in with a reply.

“No,” she said firmly, admitting that she was against adding more sprays. “I actually don’t like cologne,” she revealed, adding, “It’s my least favorite scent.”

Colbert nodded before the “Bloody Mary” singer emphasized. “It’s just a strong cologne…it’s not for me.”

Gaga and Polanski confirmed their engagement while watching a swimming competition together at the 2024 Paris Olympics, with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal calling her “my fiancé.”

The pair first became romantically involved in 2020 when they were photographed kissing at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas.

A few weeks later, the pair went public with their relationship during a PDA-filled weekend in Miami leading up to the 2020 Super Bowl. At the time, Gaga shared a photo of the two cuddling on a yacht on Instagram, writing: “So much fun in Miami.”

Polanski and Gaga have been quarantining together at their Malibu home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A source close to the singer exclusively told PEOPLE in April 2020 that she was “hanging out at her house” and “ordering food delivery” during her stay.

In March 2025, Gaga appeared on Good Morning America and talked about how she knew Polanski was “the one.”

“He loves me completely,” she said of her fiancé.
