Donna Kelsey has been tight-lipped about her experience on Peacock’s “The Traitors,” her daughter-in-law Kylie Kelsey tells PEOPLE.
While the Kelsey family continues to pursue exciting new endeavors – Kylie, 33, is preparing to make her debut as an NBC content creator at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, and Donna, 73, has become a huge hit on the Alan Cumming-hosted series – the ‘Not Gonna Lie’ host says her mother-in-law has largely kept quiet about her trip to Scotland.
“She didn’t tell us too much, which I respect and respect,” Kylie told PEOPLE while traveling to Aspen to prepare for the Milan Games. There she took snowboarding lessons from Olympian Jamie Anderson.
“You have to keep the mystery alive,” Kylie jokes.

The mother of four admitted she has yet to watch Donna, 73, on the series, which also stars contestants such as “Bravo” star Candice Dillard Bassett and figure skater Johnny Weir. “I’m waiting until I can get home and focus on it, but I’m really excited.”
And with Donna saying so little about the show, Kylie says, “it just increases the anticipation of seeing it.” “So I’m 100% in favor of her keeping everything under wraps. Even though I wish I had the inside scoop, I’m really excited to see it.”
“I love rooting for her,” Kylie says of Donna.

After spending a few hours snowboarding “for the first time” with three-time Olympic gold medalist Anderson, Kylie said she definitely plans to get back on the board someday.
“Of course I told Jamie I was going to practice,” Kylie says, adding that she will be taking fans in for a lesson in an episode of the FAFO series.
With the Winter Olympics just weeks away, Kylie is gearing up to serve as an official content creator for NBC in Milan, where she will share the stories of athletes like Anderson.
“I’m really excited to go there because it allows me to shine a light on athletes who might not get as much coverage as the popular events that take place,” she says. “I love being able to talk to athletes on a very human, personal level.”
Kylie also said she was “particularly” excited to “interact with the female athletes” in Milan.
“It’s a lot of fun and it’s great to make connections because I truly believe it’s something they invest in to be able to root for them even more than they would if they didn’t know what their story was.”
