Have you ever heard of the “swag gap”?
Well, Kylie Kelsey isn’t just here to explain the concept, she’s here to own it.
“My (social media) algorithm alerted me to a new Gen Z trend: the swag gap,” the host of the podcast “Not Gonna Lie” said on a recent episode. “And I feel personally victimized,” she added.
Kelce then explained the concept of a couple with mismatched outfits, using the example of a fashion-conscious girl and a guy who quickly slips on flip-flops and heads out the door.
“I’m the one who’s ruining the team,” Kylie admitted, despite her husband Jason Kelsey being known for his love of flip-flops. “It’s me, not my husband…he’s the one with the stolen goods.”
It’s no secret that the former Philadelphia Eagles player isn’t as into fashion as his older brothers Travis and Kyrie, with Jason confessing that he “really hated suits” before retiring in 2024.
But Jason, host of ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, has now made dapper outfits part of his regular rotation, and Kylie seems to be loving the switch.
“Let me tell you something… never ask yourself why we have four kids,” she jokes. “That’s a truism,” she says, raising an eyebrow.
The 33-year-old also shared that when they first met, Jason wore a consistent uniform that included tight V-neck T-shirts in multiple colors.
“That was Jason’s MO. He wore the exact same shirt in a different color,” she said. “I’ll tell you, it hugged his biceps really well. It hung nicely off his shoulders. And the way it accentuated it, it just…looked good.”
We know Kylie is Jason’s biggest fan. No matter what he wears, she’s going to put her devoted fans in their place.
