Lights, cameras, latex.
Kylie Jenner and Charli XCX don bikinis and white waffle-knit bathrobes for a behind-the-scenes snap of the upcoming A24 mockumentary “The Moment,” which Jenner shared on Instagram on Thursday.
The 28-year-old reality star wore the same black latex bikini she wears in the movie’s trailer, which was released last month.
Meanwhile, the “365” singer, 33, posed in a skimpy set and dark sunglasses with a film slate inscribed with the film’s title and filming date in April.
“The Moment” will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival later this month and will be released in theaters nationwide on January 30th.
This is Jenner’s acting debut, and she recently revealed on her sister Khloe Kardashian’s podcast, Khloe in Wonderland, how scary it was to play the role.
“Oh my god, I was Khloe when the Charlie movie came out. I was scared for days to actually film it,” said the Kylie Cosmetics founder. “I had a small role, which meant I had a lot of lines, but it was very scary.”
Jenner explained that years of public scrutiny have made her hesitant to step out of her comfort zone.
“I think I used to do a lot more outside of my comfort zone, but now I’m used to being in a very safe box and being very protected,” she admitted. “Maybe that’s why I don’t share as much, because I just don’t want to be judged or criticized. Or I think doing it for years takes a toll and at some point you think, ‘Okay, I’ll do A, B, and C to protect myself.'”
When she got nervous, she turned to her sister Kim Kardashian for encouragement. She pursued a career as an actress, appearing in films such as “All’s Fair” and “American Horror Story.”
“I actually called Kim and I was like, ‘I feel like you’re in the acting bag right now, and I need some encouragement and advice,'” Jenner recalled. “And I read the lines to her like how to say it, and she said, ‘You say it perfectly. I get this. It’s so easy.'”
The pep talk was clearly effective. “I was so scared to do this, but I was so proud when I did it,” Jenner added.
In the mockumentary, Jenner plays herself and appears to be giving Charlie’s character some sound advice. “The second ones are tired of you,” she tells the pop star in the trailer, “and that’s when you have to try harder.”
“The Moment” follows the fictional “Brat” singer as he navigates newfound fame and industry pressures as he prepares for his arena tour debut.
This behind-the-scenes snap isn’t Jenner’s only recent latex moment. The mother-of-two channeled Britney Spears in a red latex catsuit for Kylie Cosmetics’ fragrance campaign earlier this week, and she and Kim also wore holiday-ready red latex looks in December.
Jenner also reprized her 2016 King Kylie days by wearing a pink wig and matching pastel latex dress at her cosmetics brand’s October anniversary party.
