Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have revealed more about their relationship in public, with Chalamet giving a shoutout to his partner of three years in his acceptance speech at an awards ceremony. But in private, they talk about a bigger commitment: marriage.
A source close to the couple told Us Weekly: “They are very serious and are talking about getting engaged later this year.”
Jenner still jokes that Chalamet “is already her husband,” the source added. “Kylie is definitely leading the show and Timothy loves that. It’s a great balance of their personalities and it works well.”
Chalamet acknowledged the chronology of their relationship in his Critics’ Choice Awards speech, saying, “And finally, I want to thank my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. None of this would have been possible without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.” It was the first time Jenner was explicitly mentioned in an award ceremony speech.
The couple were last seen together this week while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
On January 21, a source revealed the new step Jenner and Chalamet have taken in their personal lives, telling Us Weekly that they are now “basically living together.”
“Kylie has never been with someone like him. They have a very easy-going, laid-back relationship, so it was very refreshing,” the source explained. “At the moment, they basically live together. Kylie stays at his house when the kids aren’t there or when she wants to be in town, and he spends a lot of time at her house in Hidden Hills.”
The source went on to add that Chalamet’s family is very supportive of him. “Kylie’s sisters and Chris really embrace him. He’s always at the table for every holiday and included in all the plans. They all really like Chalamet and think he brings out a softer side in Kylie.”
