Kyle Cooke said Summer House could be in “crisis” as Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s romance is affecting “an entire group of friends.”
“It’s not just me, Amanda and West. It’s our entire friend group,” he told street journalist Adam Glynn in a TikTok video posted Wednesday, adding that castmate Karl Radke was “confused” about the situation.
“It really jeopardizes the content of the show. You can’t shoot ‘Summer House’ with the atmosphere down. We’re not actors.”
The Loverboy founder said he intends to return for a possible season 11, but the “real question” will be whether the cast will be able to film together after this scandal, especially since they’re “going to be single this year.”
He made it clear that he would continue to make films with Wilson, despite having “big issues” with him.
“There’s a big problem with guys who can use their charm to get whatever they want. They say the right things at the right times. I’m not saying he manipulated Amanda, but she was in a really vulnerable position,” Cook concluded.
On Tuesday, shortly after Batula, 34, and West, 31, confirmed their secret romance in a shocking joint statement, a source with knowledge of the situation told Page Six that the co-stars were “angry” and “disappointed” in the pair.
The pairing came as a shock to the group, as Batula’s Summer House best friend Ciara Miller previously dated Wilson and opened up about her unresolved feelings for him on season 10 of the currently airing reality show Bravo.
According to our sources, the overall atmosphere is “Team Ciara.” That’s not surprising considering the questionable social media posts by Radke, Lindsay Hubbard, KJ Dillard and others in the days before the news broke.
Miller, 30, has since unfollowed Batula and Wilson on Instagram.
Dillard, who was brought to the show by Wilson in season 10, also unfollowed him, as did newcomer Mia Calabrese.
Miller was shocked to learn that her best friend was now dating her ex-girlfriend.
In photos obtained exclusively by Page Six on Tuesday, the model sat leaning on the sidewalk at an Hermès store in New York City as an unidentified man crouched down and held her arm for comfort.
Batula and West’s romance also came a little more than two months after she and Cook announced their separation.
Despite just ending their four-year marriage, Page Six is told that Batula and Wilson are reportedly in a “serious relationship.”
