Kristen Stewart attended the screening of her new film The Chronology of Water in Los Angeles over the weekend, wearing layers of lace on the red carpet.
In a racy take on the seasonal colors, Stewart slipped into a Lea Costa burgundy lace set consisting of leggings and a slim long-sleeved midi dress.
The overlapping laces provide some coverage, but the exterior is completely made of see-through material.
She wore her hair up, minimal make-up, and black point-toe pumps.
Burgundy has quickly become fall’s most popular shade, boasting a vibrant fall hue that was worn head-to-toe by Kylie Jenner, Blake Lively, and Demi Moore in the last week alone.
The 35-year-old usually sticks to a black and white color palette, but this latest look gave the world an unusually colorful look.
Stewart is a huge part of the film, writing, directing and co-producing it.
She attended the premiere with her wife Dylan Meyer, who is also a producer on the film. Meyer kept it casual on the red carpet in a basic black T-shirt and army green chinos.
Stewart is no stranger to revealing styles, often opting for bra tops, sheer mesh, or barely-there silhouettes. She balances these out with tailored layers that provide a little more coverage and feel approachable.
Just this spring, Stewart opted for a pink Chanel look (another unusual color look), covering a tweed jacket and matching shorts with a sheer pink tulle skirt.
Last year, the actress attended the premiere of the movie Love Lies Bleeding wearing nothing more than a super high-cut bodysuit, sheer tights, and Chanel pumps. She layered an oversized blazer over the look.
“The Chronology of Water” is set to be released on December 10th, and it’s sure to be one of the many titles to grab headlines in the coming weeks.
