In a recent interview with the London Times, Kristen Stewart revealed that there is “probably not” in the United States, explaining that “reality is completely broken under the Trump administration. But we should take a page out of his book and create the reality that we want to live in.”
Asked if she would stay in the US with President Trump still in the lead, the Oscar nominee said: “Probably not. I can’t work freely there. But I don’t want to give up completely. I want to make movies in Europe and shove them down the American people’s throats.”
Many celebrities left the United States during Trump’s second term in office, including Ellen DeGeneres and Rosie O’Donnell. Oscar-winning director James Cameron originally moved to New Zealand to work on the “Avatar” film series, but recently made headlines when he said he likely would not return to the United States.
Prime Minister Cameron appeared on the podcast “In Depth with Graham” “After the pandemic hit…[New Zealand]completely eliminated the virus,” Bensinger said on a recent episode of “New Zealand”, explaining why he left the United States. “They actually eliminated the virus twice. The third time, when it came out in a mutated form, they broke through. But fortunately, they already had a 98% vaccination rate. This is why I love New Zealand. New Zealanders are, for the most part, sane, as opposed to the United States.” States with vaccination rates of 62% are declining and moving in the wrong direction. ”
“Where do you want to live?” Cameron continued. “A place where people actually believe in science and are sane and can work together toward a common goal, or a place where everyone is so conflicted, so polarized, so turned against science that if there was another pandemic, it would basically be total chaos…I’m not there for the scenery, I’m there for the sanity.”
Speaking to Variety earlier this year, O’Donnell said she has no plans to return to the United States at this time. “Given the current political climate, when will it be safe for them to bring their children back? We are not going to force them until this administration is completely over and hopefully held accountable for their crimes,” she explained.
Stewart has a history of having an affair with President Trump after he made an infamous tweet about his personal life in 2012. President Trump encouraged Stewart’s then-boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, to dump her. Stewart reflected on Trump’s message years later in an interview with Variety magazine.
“He was mad at me a few years ago. He was really attached to me a few years ago. It’s really crazy,” Stewart said at the time. “I can’t even understand it. I literally can’t even understand it. It’s such a far-fetched concept that I don’t want to believe that it’s actually happening. It’s crazy.”
