Kristen Stewart is no stranger to great suits. Witness her wearing tons of custom Chanel blazers on miles of red carpets. But the esteemed actor, director, and eternal vampire genius may have taken her obsession with the three-piece style even further with her latest choice: Wham, Bang! Ensemble from California-based brand Mimchik.
The butter yellow ensemble, styled by Tara Swennen, features front pleated satin pants, a loose matching jacket that looks like a moto bomber and a CEO blazer had a baby, and a surprise triangular bralette with tailored darts and a halter top neck. Stewart wore this ensemble yesterday to Architectural Digest’s “AD Celebrates Design Making a Difference” event in West Hollywood, California.
The costume was designed by Emma Marciano, the daughter of Guess co-founder Maurice Marciano, and Mia Kazofsky, a Pratt Institute graduate who previously worked at Fleur du Mal and Alexander Wang. (They created this piece entirely in Los Angeles, a win for local skilled labor.)
Could Stewart’s enchanting outfit be a rebuttal to the plethora of chic but polite little black dresses currently seen on the Fall 2026 catwalks, and to women all over the world who are desperate to capture some of the minimalist power of Caroline Bessette Kennedy?Maybe so.
After all, cocktail dresses are wonderful. But cocktail bras and blazers? It’s a new look that feels both brave and free, much like Stewart herself.
