XOXO, Kristen Bell.
The actress staged a cover-up at the 92nd Street Y in New York City on Wednesday night, hours after missing an appearance on the “Today” show over her “tone-deaf” anniversary post to husband Dax Shepard.
The “Nobody Wanted This” star joined other cast members for a screening and panel discussion of the show’s second season and posed on the red carpet.
The 45-year-old wore an all-black ensemble to the event, which included a silk tank, palazzo pants and a beret.
The Gossip Girl alum wore her hair down and completed her look with a gold necklace.
She appeared to be in good spirits as she and co-star Adam Brody chatted on stage with Josh Horowitz, host of the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
Earlier the same day, Bell was scheduled to appear on the Today show with Justin Lupe, but Lupe, 36, sat alone.
The “Succession” alum specifically discussed Bell and her penchant for pranks, but did not address recent headlines regarding the Emmy nominee’s social media tirade.
Bell set tongues wagging on Friday when she celebrated her and Shepard’s 12th wedding anniversary via Instagram.
“Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me, ‘I will never kill you. Many men have killed their wives at some point. I have a strong motive to kill you, but I will never.’ ❤️,” she wrote.
The “Good Place” alum’s followers dragged her into the comments section for sharing such “wild stuff” during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
In a statement to Page Six on Tuesday, the advocacy group National Network to End Domestic Violence denounced the “joke,” which “trivializes the very real fear, trauma, and pain that millions of victims and survivors face every day.”
“We all have a responsibility to support victims and survivors, invest in proven solutions, and talk about this issue with the seriousness it deserves,” the group wrote.
Representatives for Mr. Bell have not yet responded to Page Six’s request for comment.
Although Shepherd has yet to address the drama, footage recently resurfaced of him joking that he punched his wife “several times” after getting “pissed off” by what she said during an interview on “Hit and Run” in 2012.
At the time, Bell quipped, “After that, I got hit, and for some reason, I never spoke again.”
She and the Armchair Expert host were married in October 2013 and have two daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10.
