The Kardashians sparked another parenting debate. Today we’re talking about Kim Kardashian’s controversial views on homework.
“I don’t believe in homework,” reality star, 44, said when he appeared on the live stream of Kaycenat’s “Mafiason 3” over the weekend.
“But I’ll tell you why. Your kids are in school eight hours a day,” added Kardashian, who shares their children, ages 12, 9, Chicago, 7 and 6.
“When they go home, they also need to play sports, have life and spend time with their families. I think homework should be left at school.”
Skims co-founder’s views on homework have sparked mixed reactions on social media.
“Of course, those who paid to get their homework done will say that,” one user wrote.
“Well, homework doesn’t stop kids from doing everything she mentioned. I sometimes did homework before leaving school,” another added.
“When you have to compete in life, when (millions) become meaningless because of the already born life,” the third party argued.
Several fans also defended the Kardashian take. This includes one netizen who tweeted that the Hulu star had “valid points.”
“I think a little more educational exercise is good because you keep you on your toes outside of school and are ready to work from the work environment of life, but when you were in school, the load was ridiculous,” the supporter added.
“Low Key valid TBH. Why not allow eight hours of study at school and kick it at home with your family,” another wrote.
“That’s actually a fair point. Since schools already account for most of the day, it makes sense to breathe, activate and live socially outside of academics. Balance is more important than overloading your homework.”
In May, Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian had a wild discussion about why she believed sending her child to school was “so outdated.”
“There’s a way we can function as a family… it’s like someone doing the same thing every day. Just like I do it with everything, it’s not about our family,” Poosh founder 46 told sister Khloé Kardashian on the latter “Khloé at Wonder Land” podcast.
“So let’s talk about the school system. I think, “Why do kids go to school?” Really. ”
