Kim Kardashian failed the bar exam.
The reality TV star revealed on Instagram on Saturday that she didn’t pass the California bar.
“Well…I’m not a lawyer yet,” she wrote on her Instagram Story, then quipped, “I just play a well-dressed lawyer on TV.”
She went on to say, “It’s been six years since I started this legal journey, and I’m still working hard to pass the bar exam. There are no shortcuts, there’s no giving up. I just have to study more and be more determined.”
She also thanked “everyone who has supported and encouraged me” along the way. “Failing is not a failure. It’s energy. Since I was so close to passing the exam, I was even more motivated. Let’s go!!!!!”
The results were announced Friday night through the State Bar to applicants only.
The Skims founder initially announced in a 2019 interview with Vogue magazine that he was studying law. She told the outlet that she was inspired to become a lawyer after “seeing a really positive outcome” for Alice Marie Johnson, a prisoner she helped free in 2018.
Since then, she has openly talked about her struggles to become a lawyer. Becoming a lawyer was a career path that her late father, Robert Kardashian, was famous for.
Kim has been open about her journey with fans, revealing that she failed three times at “Baby Bar” and finally won on her third try.
“I failed! Fuck, I failed!,” the “All’s Fair” actress lamented failing the test for the second time during a 2021 episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” She added: “This is really annoying.”
At the time, the reality TV personality, 45, said the results were “about the same… (but) a little worse” than her initial score.
In December 2021, the overjoyed “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star took to Instagram to share that she had finally moved beyond her baby bars.
“OMFGGGG, I passed the baby bar exam!!!” she spat then.
“I’m so proud of the women who looked in the mirror and reflected on who they are today,” she continued.
“This wasn’t easy and it wasn’t given to me. I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years and each time I got back up, studied more and tried again until I passed!!!”
She also mentioned the time she was forced to give up trying to text again after being diagnosed with COVID-19.
“My third fever of 104 degrees has indeed infected me with COVID-19, but I make no excuses,” she wrote.
“I was told by top lawyers that this would be a near-impossible journey and more difficult than the traditional path to law school, but it was my only option. I’m so happy to be here and on my way to achieving my goal.”
Kardashian was studying for a tutor on the “Baby Bar,” a California exam given to first-year law students who are not studying at an accredited institution. Kim celebrated receiving her law degree in May.
Her father, Robert, who died in 2003, served as a defense attorney in the infamous 1995 O.J. Simpson murder trial.
