On Tuesday, Kim Kardashian posted a photo to Instagram featuring looks from past fittings. Most of the costumes have not yet been worn in public.
Captioning the photo, “Random fit photo,” Kardashian models everything from giant feather coats to leather culottes.
The eclectic selection was further amplified by sister Courtney’s comment, “I don’t know where it’s going, but some of it has a vibe.”
But buried within the drops are a few looks where the 44-year-old channels her inner showgirl. Rumored nemesis Taylor Swift will also be pleased.
In one of the photos, Kardashian stares into the camera, wearing a white bodysuit with heavy pearl fringe covering the front. Her hands are covered in white opera-length gloves.
The bodysuit fitting took place before the reality TV star returned to her dark roots in August 2025, and in the photo, her bleached blonde hair blended effortlessly with the ivory outfit.
According to a press release from the design house, the ensemble is vintage Dolce & Gabbana. It’s described as a “custom white power mesh bodysuit with pearls and pearl fringe on the front panel.”
And while these pieces aren’t truly vintage, they’re inspired by pieces from the brand’s Spring/Summer 1990 collection.
The runway collection marked the Italian fashion label’s international debut and its first presentation in New York City. The line is filled with jewel-encrusted bodysuits and corset tops, and was a major influence on the design of Kardashian’s latest custom pieces.
With its bodysuit construction, low-hip silhouette, nipped waist, and bejeweled fringe, Kardashian’s looks can’t help but recall the world of Swift’s new Showgirls days.
In two more photos, the Skims mogul is seen wearing a gray feathered coat that closely resembles the dressing robes of Las Vegas’ iconic showgirls, sitting cross-legged in one photo and bare-legged in another.
Additionally, while trying on the strapless ruched dress, she also tried on the headpiece for size by holding the black feathered headpiece against her head.
These flashy, embellished showgirl looks are an odd choice, considering the theory currently circulating among Taylor fans that “Actually Romantic” is a diss track written about Kim Kardashian.
What message are these Kardashian sisters sending with these epic outfits that look like they never came out of the closet?
Maybe this is just one of those “strange Valentine’s Days”.
