Kim Kardashian celebrates the life of his father, Robert Kardashian Sr., 22 years after his death.
In an emotional post to Instagram story on Tuesday, September 30th, Kim shared the edited photo. The edited photo features current photos of herself in alumni cap and gowns, standing with a smile alongside the late Robert Sr., standing next to her late daughter.
“Thank you for always protecting my family from heaven,” Kardashian wrote. “I was 22 when you passed away and it’s been 22 years since I went to heaven.”
Robert Kardashian Sr., the lawyer best known for his work at the infamous OJ Simpson murder trial in 1995, passed away on September 30, 2003 after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer two months ago. He was 59 years old.
In 1978, Robert Kardashian Sr. married Chris Horton, now Kris Jenner, and the couple welcomed their daughter Kourtney in 1979, Kim in 1980 and son Rob Jr. in 1984.

“As long as you’re gone, I know you,” Kardashian added. “I hope you are very proud of us all. We love you and we will miss you.
Also, in honor of her father’s memory, Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian shared the reel in an Instagram story she originally posted in February 2024.
“I’ll hold space for you forever. Happy birthday dad🤍🤍🤍🕊,” Chloe wrote in the caption on Reel. “Thank you for everything. All memories. All lessons. All laughs. All ounces of love. Thank you!”
The Kardashian daughter is not the only one who remembers Robert on the anniversary of his death. In her newly released memoir, when I left you, his ex-girlfriend Priscilla Presley shared fond memories of his brief relationship with the lawyer and entrepreneur who he dated in 1975.
“Robert was a sweet guy and I liked him. But a few months later I realized that it wasn’t working,” Presley wrote.

“He is a kind man and I remember him with great affection,” Presley added.
