Kim Kardashian blames ChatGPT for failing her law exam.
During a lie detector test for Vanity Fair, the reality star admitted to using an artificial intelligence chatbot for “legal advice.”
“When I want to know the answer to a question, I take a picture and paste it there,” she shared in a video on Monday.
When Ms. Kardashian’s “All’s Fair” co-star Teyana Taylor asked if that constituted “cheating,” the Skims creator replied, “They’re always wrong. That’s why I always fail my tests.”
Kardashian, 45, explained that she was “angry” and “yelled” at ChatGPT for “failing[her].”
When the 34-year-old R&B singer wondered if Kardashian considers ChatGPT a “friend,” the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” alum asserted that ChatGPT is a “frenemy.”
“I talk to it and say, ‘Hey, are you going to fail me? How does that make you feel? … I’m coming to you,'” she clarified.
“And you’ll say back, ‘This is just teaching you to trust your instincts. So you knew the answer all along.'”
After Taylor quipped that ChatGPT had “timed” her co-star, Kardashian labeled herself and her AI assistant “toxic friends.”
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star joked, “They need to do better, because I really rely on them to help me. And she’s been my therapist, teaching me life lessons and showing me why I should believe in myself after they get an answer wrong.”
Kardashian said she screenshots her ChatGPT conversations and sends them to the group chat.
“I was like, ‘Can you believe this woman is saying this to me? This is insane,'” she recalled of the emails she sent to loved ones.
A polygraph examiner found that Kardashian was telling the truth about her use of ChatGPT.
The former Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, whose late father Robert Kardashian was a successful lawyer, first revealed she was studying law in a 2019 interview with Vogue magazine.
She said she was inspired by “seeing really good results” for Alice Marie Johnson, a prisoner she helped free the previous year.
Kim has been candid with fans about her progress, revealing that she failed the “baby bar” exam three times before finally passing in 2021.
In May, the “American Horror Story” actress celebrated receiving her law school degree after six years.
