Kiefer Sutherland was arrested in Los Angeles after allegedly getting into an argument with a rideshare driver.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Page Six on Tuesday that officers responded to a call early Monday morning of an alleged assault involving a rideshare driver near Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue in Hollywood.
The Los Angeles Police Department, which later identified the suspect as Sutherland, alleges that the man “entered the rideshare vehicle, physically assaulted the driver (the victim), and made criminal threats against the victim.”
Officers arrested Sutherland on suspicion of criminal intimidation.

The Los Angeles Police Department noted that the alleged victim did not have any injuries that required treatment at the scene.
Documents obtained by Page Six on Tuesday confirm that the “24” star was arrested on Monday and his bail was set at $50,000.
He was released the same day at 11:30pm local time, and the Emmy Award winner is scheduled to appear in court on February 2nd.
NBC 4 News in Los Angeles first reported the news on Tuesday.
A representative for the actor did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
This isn’t the “Lost Boys” actor’s first run-in with the law. Sutherland was previously charged with drunk driving in Los Angeles in September 2007 and failed a field sobriety test.
He was released on $25,000 bail at the time and pleaded no contest to a DUI charge and was sentenced to 48 days in jail, according to People magazine.
He was also charged with assault after he allegedly headbutted fashion designer Jack McCollough in a bizarre incident that occurred after a Metropolitan Museum of Art fundraiser in New York in 2009.
According to CNN, McCollough and Sutherland later released a joint statement that included an apology from the “Stand by Me” star, and authorities dropped charges in the incident.
Mr Sutherland said in a statement: “I am sorry for what happened that night and sincerely regret the injury that Mr. McCollough suffered,” and Ms McCollough responded: “I thank Mr Sutherland for his statement and wish him well.”
The “Young Guns” actor has faced some tough times over the past few years. His father, Hollywood icon Donald Sutherland, passed away in 2024 at the age of 88. The actor called his father “one of the most important actors in movie history” in a social media statement.
He recently recalled the “special” day he spent with the late director Rob Reiner after he was stabbed to death in December.
In the television special “CBS News: Rob Reiner – Scenes from a Lifetime,” Sutherland recalled Jack Nicholson filming the memorable “You Can’t Handle the Truth!” A scene from 1992’s A Few Good Men.
“Nobody said anything, so Rob walked up to Jack Nicholson and whispered in his ear, ‘Do you want to do one more?’ And Jack Nicholson said, ‘Here we are,'” Sutherland said. “So they created another piece, which was just as extraordinary.”
Kiefer recalled that the director of “The Princess Bride” canceled filming for the rest of the day. “I couldn’t have asked for anything more, so everyone, take the rest of the day off,” Sutherland recalled his manager saying at the time.
