Nickelodeon star Kiana Underwood has died in a hit-and-run accident. She was 33 years old.
A deputy spokesperson confirmed to Page Six that police responded to a 911 call in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, at approximately 6:49 a.m. local time.
“Preliminary investigation indicates that a gray vehicle was traveling westbound when it struck an unidentified female,” the statement said, adding that the woman suffered “severe trauma to her head and body.”
After paramedics arrived, “she was pronounced dead at the scene.”
The deputy also confirmed that the driver of the vehicle “did not remain at the scene.”
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
Born in New York City, Underwood began acting at the age of seven. She joined the cast of Nickelodeon’s “All That” season 10 in 2005 and got her big break.
She also participated in the first national tour of Hairspray as Little Ines for one year and voiced Fuchsia on the Nick Jr. show Little Bill.
After a brief stint on television, Underwood returned to New York City, where he lived a private life.
But in 2023, a video of her seemingly struggling was leaked on social media.
In the clip, several people talk to her, asking her to identify herself while braiding her hair.
“I’m Kiana Underwood from Nickelodeon’s ‘All That,'” she told the camera, confirming once again that she was on the show.
It is unknown where she lived or worked.
