Kevin Hart will be in the spotlight for Netflix’s Live Roast, the sequel to the hit Tom Brady broadcast in 2024.
The ceremony, hosted by Shane Gillis, will take place on the final night of Netflix Is a Joke Fest, Sunday, May 10th at 5pm PT. Like Brady’s roast, it will be filmed inside the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The lineup of comedians who will take jabs at Hart has not yet been announced.

“The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady” became a cultural phenomenon, spending three weeks in Netflix’s Global Top 10 and solidifying Nikki Glazer’s profile. To date, the three-hour broadcast has garnered 26 million views on Netflix. The roast was also nominated for an Emmy Award for variety show, along with the Super Bowl Halftime Show and the Grammy, Tony and Oscar telecasts.
It has long been rumored that Netflix might plan another live roast following the success of Brady’s event, with big-name talent like Will Smith being floated as a potential candidate. During a panel moderated by Variety at the New York Comedy Festival in November, Ross teased, “We have another festival coming up in May, but I’m pretty confident we’ll be able to roast in the spring.”
“There are a lot of B-list celebrities who want to get roasted. I want it to be like the Super Bowl of roasts,” he said. “I held Tom Brady for three years. He retired, he didn’t retire, he got divorced. Then I decided to do a Netflix festival. Sometimes it takes a while to catch a whale.”
