Variety exclusively reported that Kelvin Yu has signed a multi-year overall contract with Sony Pictures Television.
Under the agreement, Yu will develop and produce scripted comedy, drama and animated series for independent studios.

Yu is best known for his work on FOX’s hit animated series “Bob’s Burgers,” which helped the show win Best Animated Program at the 2017 Emmy Awards. He is likewise part of the show’s production team and has received a total of seven nominations in this category. He is also known as the creator of the Disney+ series “American Born Chinese,” where he also served as showrunner, and is also working on the Apple TV+ series “Central Park.” Yu is also an accomplished actor, appearing in shows such as ‘Master of None,’ ‘After Party,’ and ‘Dying for Sex.’ In film, she is known for her roles in “Milk” and “Wonder Woman 1984.”
“I’m very excited and honestly honored to be joining the Sony family,” said Yu. “They create bold, boundary-pushing television shows, and I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of them.”
