Cheers to Kelsey Grammer’s growing family!
The “Frasier” star announced on Monday’s podcast “Pod Meets World” that he and wife Kate Walsh recently welcomed a baby boy named Christopher.
This will be the actor’s eighth child, and the fourth with Walsh.
“It was like three days ago,” he told hosts Daniel Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong. “Christopher, we just joined the family.”
The Cheers actor, 70, became a father in 1983 when he welcomed daughter Spencer, now 43, with first wife Doreen Alderman.
After the ex-couple’s divorce in 1990, Grammer fathered Grier, now 33, with his then-girlfriend Barry Buckner.
The Emmy winner was briefly married to Leigh-Anne Kuhane before marrying Camille Grammer.
Kelsey and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 56, have co-parented daughter Mason, 23, and son Jude, 20, since their 2011 divorce.
The Golden Globe winner had an affair with Walsh, 46, while married to Camille, and the two married in February 2011 in New York City.
Their three children, daughter Faith, 13, son Gabriel, 11, and son James, 8, were born in 2012, 2014, and 2016, respectively.
While out with Walsh in London in June, news broke that she was pregnant with her eighth child.
The former flight attendant’s baby bump was on display during her walk in a navy blue dress and tan cardigan.
At the time, a source told the Daily Mail that Kelsey was “thrilled” to add to her ranks.
“He was incredibly supportive of Kate throughout her pregnancy, and while it was unexpected, it reignited the spark in their marriage that they both needed,” the source continued.
The paper claimed that at the height of her career, Kelsey intended to engage in “the hands-on parenting that she had missed in the past.”
The Tony Award winner, who has spoken out in the past about his home life being “struggling” because of his work, told the Guardian in 2018 that he had the chance to “try again” with Walsh.
“(That’s) the beauty of being an aging father,” he exclaimed, calling the experience “a real gift.”
