Kelly Lipa and Mark Consuelos are considering adding them to their family.
Earlier this year, live hosts with Kelly and Mark, who are also real-life couples, lamented the loss of their long-standing family, as well as the loss of their beloved dog, Chewy. The white and brown Shees Zi, who Lipa first met in the Live adoption segment, died on February 4th after her health deteriorated rapidly. She was 17 years old.
While talking to people before the 38th season of the live, 54-year-old RIPA and Consuelos (54) also revealed that they are “considering” adopting another dog a few months after Seeds’ death. The pet will be taking part in puppy Rena, a Malta/Seas Two mix adopted by RIPA in 2020.
With fan-favorite Pet Week on the live horizon, Consuelos admitted that “adopting pets” was “always good” throughout the show. And Lipa revealed to people that the pair could potentially be “ourself” of “ourself” for the rescue pet.

“We probably want to get Rena… brother,” she added.
Lipa admitted that despite considering adopting another pet, “We haven’t lost our dog yet.”
“Frankly, I don’t think we’ll ever be,” she pointed out. “But we are definitely considering our brothers.”
Conseulution and Ripa said there are several factors they are considering while searching for new pets. Size is important. Size is important for couples, considering how much the pair travels with each RIPA, as they need to be “small enough to fit in the seat in front of them” on the plane.
“That’s what we learned about dogs,” she added.

Ripa and Consuelos first shared news of Chewie’s death during an episode of Live With Kelly and Mark on February 5th, revealing that they chose to humanly euthanize their beloved 17-year-old Sheeztz after “stop eating for a few days and not eating too much in the past few weeks.”
“She was very dehydrated and some neurological things had gone down,” Consuelos said of the deceased puppy. “And then, ‘Okay, I’m doing the right thing. This won’t be easy.’ That’s probably one of the toughest things we’ve had to do as a married couple. ”

“I wouldn’t know Chey without this show,” Consuelos said elsewhere in the episode. He also added that the late dog “grown up” with “the couple’s three children, Joaquin, ages 28, 24 and 22.”

The Riverdale alumni offered to “heavy lift” during the episode as Lipa was visibly upset. “I’m so sorry. I thought I got it all, guys,” she told the living audience. “I really thought I got it all. I apologize because this wasn’t what I wanted to lower this.”
“We were very fortunate,” Lipa said. “We are very fortunate people in our lives. We have not had any losses in our lives. We have no such great losses. We still have all our parents. We are very fortunate.
“But you have to understand,” she continued. “This dog was very special and she was a very wonderful girl.”
