Jimmy Kimmel gives props to Kelly Lipa and Mark Consuelos.
Jimmy Kimmel Live! The 57-year-old host revealed on Wednesday, September 24th that he sent an ice cream truck to staff after the daytime talk show host returned to air.
In his opening remarks on Wednesday’s episode, Kimmel admitted that he couldn’t thank everyone who supported him on the first show on September 23rd, during his short break from Jimmy Kimmel Live.
“I would like to thank good friends Kelly Lipa and Mark Consuelos for sending us ice cream trucks to the staff today. This is honestly very thoughtful and very sweet,” his audience applauded.
“But next time, Kelly, what if you could lift your head to us? When the truck was pulled up, Guillermo (Rodriguez) saw the word “ice” and dived under the recycle bin.

The gift of Lipa and Consuelos to Kimmel’s crew follows the general support of the couple Kimmel. The duo, who rarely deals with politics in their programs, revealed what they thought about Kimmel’s statement.
“Jimmy Kimmel returned to his show last night, and you know – we know him personally, and cares about his family when I say he is one of the kindest and most generous people I know.
“And I think his statement last night was that he understands both sides. He was very humble in his speech,” Consuelos said.
On his first episode on Tuesday, Kimmel delivered a tearful monologue, during which he spoke on the show’s short suspension. The suspension itself follows comments Kimmel made on the September 15th episode about the fatal shooting of right-wing personality Charlie Kirk. Both Ripa and Consuelos called his return monologue “very responsible.”

“One of the things we all agree with as a nation is that the first revision is very important,” Consuelos said. “We’re doing a light show here. We don’t talk about politics here. We don’t do that. We know that the fans of the house want to get away from all of that. We agree.

“But I think it’s important that we are all free,” he added. “Because you never know – we can say crazy things and we’re gone tomorrow.”
After adding that Lipa is saying “it’s always crazy here,” her husband revealed that they are “not lost” to “sitting in the Disney building here, in our house here.” Still, he added that it was “the right thing for the company to bring him back.”
Walt Disney Company announced Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday! It’s back following “Thoughtful Conversation with Jimmy” as Sinclair and Nexstar.
Nexstar previously announced plans to acquire Tegna to acquire rival broadcasting company Tegna. The move was controlled by Donald Trump and required final approval from the Federal Communications Commission. ABC initially announced that it will be an irregular hiatus as Kimmel praised the decision starting Wednesday, September 17th.
The controversy over the show began when the comedian addressed Kirk’s shooting death in a monologue on September 15th.
“There was sadness between my fingers,” he added. He added before showing a clip asked by a reporter how Trump is doing in Kirk’s death (Trump said he was “very good” before changing subjects to the construction of a new White House ballroom).
“Yes, he’s in the fourth stage of grief: Construction,” Kimmel joked.
Kimmel previously worked on Kirk’s “terrifyingly monster” murder at Utah Valley University through an Instagram University post on September 10th. He wrote at that time. “On behalf of my family, we send love to Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocent people who have been victims of meaningless gun violence.”
Jimmy Kimmel Live! It will air on ABC at 11:35pm on weekdays.
