Keith Urban’s move was a turning point for Nicole Kidman’s split (exclusive)

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have lived separate lives.

“Their lives were moving in many different directions. He quietly set up his place and it felt like the text was on the wall,” the source tells people at the city exit.

On Monday, September 29th, people confirmed that the Oscar-winning actress, 58, and the Grammy-winning country star, 57, had separated.

“It was not a secret to their circle that Keith and Nicole lived separately for some time,” the source adds. “People near Keith felt that division was a bit inevitable.”

While Urban’s move decision marks a turning point, Kidman has tried to save the relationship, another insider told people earlier.

“She didn’t want this,” an insider told people on September 29th. “She has fought to save her marriage.”

In the separation, the insider adds, “Nicole’s sister (Antonia) is a rock, and the whole Kidman family gathered together to support each other.”

Kidman and Urban officials have not responded to people’s requests for comment.

The longtime couple married in June 2006, sharing Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret, 17, and are 14 years old (Kidman is also son Connor, 32-year-old daughter Bella and 30-year-old son Connor, as well as son Connor with Tom Cruise).

Kidman and Urban were last discovered and were discovered together for about three months more than three months before the separation was made public when they took part in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match at the Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis at Geodis Park together on June 20th in Nashville.

Kidman and Urban attended a sporting event five days before their 19th anniversary. On June 25th, Kidman shared a photo of himself hugging Urban on Instagram to commemorate his wedding anniversary. “Happy Anniversary Baby ❤❤ @@keithurban,” she wrote.

Kidman, who recently wrapped up Practical Magic 2 in London, posted “Summer Memories” on Instagram on August 19th, sharing photos of her time with her daughter and her extended family. Meanwhile, Urban is on the tour, with the next stop scheduled for Thursday, October 2nd in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

In August, sources nearby the family said Kidman and his city’s daughters were “individual” throughout the summer. “Keith was on tour all summer, but Nicole and her daughters spent bonding together, inseparable,” the insider said on August 19th.
