Keith Urban’s inner circle reportedly believes the 57-year-old singer is struggling with a “midlife crisis” in news that he has split from Nicole Kidman.
His friend believes his divorce from Oscar winner 58 is “the latest in a confusing set of options,” a source told TMZ.
The insider also said the singer suddenly fired his entire band, who has worked for 25 years in January following the release of his album High.
Reps for Urban and Kidman did not immediately return a request for comment on Page 6.
Page 6 confirmed on Monday that the power couple who tied the knot in 2006 split up after 19 years of marriage and two children.
“Sometimes, relationships just run the course,” the insider told us, adding that the “perfect couple” star “didn’t want separation, he was trying to save things.”
Sources told TMZ, who first broke the story on Monday that the pair had been away “from the beginning of the summer.”
The “Big Little Lies” star filed for divorce Tuesday citing “incompatible differences,” with the document revealing parenting plans for their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
Since the Split news, a series of nasty interviews have resurfaced in which 57-year-old Urban seemed deeply offensive to questions about Kidman.
Eagle Eyed fans also noted a step-by-step exchange with guitarist Maggiebo, 25, in April.
Sources told Page 6 on Tuesday that the “Nine Perfect Strangers” star has been “devastated” by the fall of the marriage nearly 20 years later.
“She feels betrayed,” the source leaked. “She feels really upset.”
Still, Kidman, who appeared on a hike in Nashville with his sister Antonia on Wednesday, is moving forward despite claiming that TMZ sources are already “along Nashville” already “with another woman.”
Sources told Page 6 on Thursday that “Practical Magic 2” prioritizes their daughter during the breakup. “She’s sad and continues her life, and she makes sure her children take care of her,” they said.
