Keith Urban gave a private performance over the weekend at a party at Mar-a-Lago that included President Trump.
At Saturday’s party hosted by Australian billionaire Anthony Pratt, the country singer belted out Chapel Lawn’s “Pink Pony Club” and Bob Marley’s “Is This Love.”
Snippets of his “amazing” performance were shared by participants via Instagram.
Trump, 79, was seen sitting next to Pratt at the event.
Social media users expressed mixed feelings about the Grammy winner’s attendance at the party, with some happy about his association with Trump and others feeling “sickened.”
Representatives for Mr. Urban and Mr. Roan did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
In particular, Lorne’s “Pink Pony Club” was inspired by The Abbey, a famous gay bar in West Hollywood, California.
In April, Urban revealed on Intimates and Interactive that he “almost cried” when he first heard the song, explaining, “Who doesn’t want to find a safe place wherever they are? I just want to find my people – whatever it is, where I finally know I belong.”
The songwriter, who has not made his political leanings public, was asked in 2017 if he would perform at the White House during Trump’s presidency.
“I would love to answer that question if it comes up, but I’m a citizen and I want to do the right thing,” Urban said at the time, according to The Hill.
Seven years later, the musician refused to endorse the presidential candidate as he faced off against former Vice President Kamala Harris.
“I’m often surprised that people don’t pay attention to artists’ work. They define who they are and their views, and I’m no exception,” he told The Times in 2024.
“I play to a very diverse audience in every way: politically, pronunciation, age group, ethnicity, etc.,” the guitarist noted.
At the time, Urban was married to Nicole Kidman, who also remained quiet about politics.
The actress explained to BBC News in 2017 that she feels “reluctant” to talk about the subject because she is an “issue-oriented” voter.
Big Little Lies star Urban, 58, made headlines in September for announcing he was divorcing after 19 years of marriage and two children.
Kidman hinted at trouble in paradise in a recent interview with Vogue, wondering, “How many times do you think you know where your life is going, and then you have to be told that it’s not going that way?”
She and Urban have yet to speak publicly about their breakup.
