Kayla Nicole has resigned for her first public appearance since her ex-boyfriend Travis Kels announced her engagement to Taylor Swift.
During New York Fashion Week on Thursday, September 11th, I caught up with a podcaster at the House of Champion.
The On-Air Reporter and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end began dating in 2017 and have been in a recurring relationship for five years.

Last month, 35-year-old Swift and Kelce announced their engagement on Instagram after a two-year date, sharing a photo of the proposal with the caption, “Your English teacher and gym teacher are married.”
The big news about the couple came almost two years after they published their romance. Swift was first discovered cheering for Kelce in September 2023 at a Kansas City Chiefs match, more than a year after he and Nicole split.
Nicole tells people the biggest lesson she’s learned over the past year is that “other people’s opinions are as big as you.”

“So if I don’t allow it to affect me, it’s simply not,” she told people. “Do you know what I mean? On social media, it’s the whole world and I really don’t think so.”
“This is an app with hundreds of millions of people, but honestly, you’re in control of the story. “Delete the app and log off. That’s my biggest advice.”
Following the announcement of Kelse and Swift’s engagement in August, Nicole reposted the video to actress Tracy Ellis Ross’ Instagram story to discuss why she chose “joy.”
“I think joy is different to happiness,” Ross said in the clip. “Happiness is something you can get at 7-Eleven, and joy is what you earn, work and practice.”
While discussing the clip with people on Thursday, Nicole says, “Well, I was probably reading a book years ago, but basically the idea that happiness is fleeting.”
“Joy is a deep, eternal thing, a daily choice, and that’s something I try to do in life on a regular basis,” she says.
Since splitting from Kelce in 2022, Nicole has been working hard to “move forward” with her life. This is a decision that includes friends on Instagram Brittany and Patrick Mahomes.

“I’ve made people publicly public, so I think it’s important to deal with this publicly,” Nicole told people previously. “The reality is that I know these people in real life, and in real life I told these people why I had to make the decisions I made public.”
She regularly discusses relationships in the podcast, pregame, and often refers to her own experiences of dating. In April, the influencer admitted that he hadn’t experienced a romance similar to the “fairy tale” story told in a Disney film.

“I grew up believing that if there are men and women involved, if they are married, you mean to be with each other,” she explained. “You have made this contract, you have made this promise to each other, and you will be accountable to each other.”
