Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson proved that their chemistry is alive and well in Monday’s “Dawson Creek” reunion.
The former co-stars were cozy with each other after running a read-through of the first episode of the six-season series at the Richard Rogers Theatre in New York City.
Holmes and Jackson, who played Joey Potter and Pacey Witter respectively, held their hands as they joined fellow cast members on stage to close the event.
In multiple fan videos, the duo stood side by side for a curtain call – at one point, along with the 46-year-old actress, tilting their heads to Jackson’s shoulder.
The “cident” graduate put her head above her.
Holmes was clapping excitedly after Jackson held his bow in front of cheering attendees – reached for the High Five.
The Broadway star is “a whimpering like a high school girl,” one fan claimed via X.
Another tweet states, “The way Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes have never sailed in the sunset is not wild. I’m sure they invented chemistry.”
Instagram users gushed out that the pair “understand the assignment.”
Proceeds from the event benefited F cancer, James van der Beek’s colorectal cancer treatment.
The 48-year-old, who played Dawson Leery, was “furiated” to miss the event amidst the health struggle.
Holmes and Jackson reunited earlier this year and filmed a “Happy Hour” film trilogy for the Big Apple.
The “Oldest Daughter” star, who writes, directs and stars in the project, was all the smiles in the photos she took during filming in August.
On-screen love interests went on a temporary date in 1998 while filming “Dawson Creek.”
Holmes married Tom Cruise and welcomed his now 19-year-old daughter, Suri, and later dated Jamie Foxx and Bobby Wooten III.
Jackson is five years old, with his side, his ex-wife, Jody Turner Smith, and co-parent daughter Junho.
He and Holmes have maintained a “very close” friendship over the years, Jackson revealed earlier this year on the “On Me for Dinner” podcast.
“It’s not a daily call,” the “Small Fire Everywhere” star revealed in an interview in April. “It’s not a call from time to time, weekly, monthly or six months.”
