As a former employee, Kate Middleton is doing something from a fashion brand that has a truly personal connection to it.
On September 23, the 43-year-old princess of Wales went to Southport to show support for the community’s grief after three children were killed in a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in July 2024.
The outing marks the couple’s Second D trip to Southport following the tragedy, highlighting their commitment to unforgettable families, children and first responders being affected. There, Kate was a business princess in a pink blouse with grey pants and an adjustable coat with sentimental stories.
Fanblog has identified the Princess of Wales long steel grey coat as a maxi city coat by Jigsaw, a fashion brand she worked for in 2006 after graduating from St. Andrews University.

Jigsaw wool maxi coats are currently shopping online for $525 and are available in other colors, but Kate’s grey tint is not available as an option.
Princess Kate met her future husband, Prince William at St. Andrews, and in 2005 she received her degree from the College of Art History.
The following year, she began working part-time at the British fashion brand Jigsaw. There she worked as an accessory buyer and reportedly spent several days a week in her London office.

Speaking to the 2008 evening standards, Jigsaw founder Bell Robinson said Kate was “very mature for the age of 26” and explained that she was turning her towards the Earth.
“She sat in the kitchen at lunchtime and chatted with everyone from the van driver to the girls on her account. She was not valuable,” Robinson told the outlet.
Kate left Jigsaw in 2007, worked for the family company, Party, and was engaged to Prince William in 2010.
Princess of Wales notably topped her look with a bow from her brand at Christmas Carol Service in December 2004.
