Kate Cassidy thought it was Liam Payne’s 32nd birthday by baking the cake.
The 26-year-old influencer shared an Instagram reel on Friday, adding all the ingredients to the bowl, putting them in the oven to decorate the cake, and enjoying a bite with the dog.
She showed makeup in the video, casually dressed in a white tank top and sweated her blonde hair in a ponytail.
Cassidy captioned the emotional clips set on Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” and “Happy Birthday Liam.” I know you still have the sweetest teeth in heaven.
She also posted another video montage of memories the former couple shared together.
In this video, Payne danced, joking, running on the beach during her happy times.
Cassidy said, “8.29.93. A special day for the most special soul. I miss you. Happy birthday Liam. I wish we could celebrate together.
The social media star bought a ton of cupcakes on Friday while she was grocery shopping at Whole Foods through her Instagram Story.
This is Payne’s first birthday since he passed away on October 16th, 2024 at the age of 31.
The singer tragically fell from the balcony on the third floor of the room at the Casa Sur Palermo hotel in Argentina. The drug was later discovered in his system, and some have faced criminal charges as a result of his death.
Cassidy had travelled with Payne two weeks before his death, but left two days before the tragedy, as she “wanted to go home with her dog.”
Members in the former direction reportedly asked their then-girlfriend to stay with him and began acting “unstable” as soon as she left his side.
“I felt that nothing was realistic about the past few days. I pray and ask and pray that I will give me the grace and space to navigate this privately,” Cassidy said, “I feel like nothing is realistic about the past few days.
“Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know that you love you completely and unconditionally. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you.”
She later revealed that she and the singer of “What Makes You Beautiful” talked about getting married.
Earlier this year, Cassidy broke in tears as she remembered her and Payne’s final memories together, making it look like a grief over loss.
The model shared that he obtained an angel wing tattoo to commemorate Payne’s death later last year.
