Kara Swisher has joined the ranks of CNN documentary series hosts.
The technology journalist and entrepreneur will host CNN’s new original series “Kara Swisher Wants to Live Forever,” which will debut in the spring as part of the 2026 programming slate. In this series, Swisher explores movements that promote longevity and anti-aging, and tries to separate real science from wishful thinking. Her father’s early death and recent health scare spurred her interest in partying.
“For too long, the longevity world has been in thrall to rich tech bros, duped influencers, no-nonsense sellers of useless supplements, and women who sell candles named after their private parts (sorry Gwyneth, but you started it!),” Swisher said in a statement. “Well, after years of enduring endless conversations about how to live forever, I’d like to participate. But I’m going to show the rest of you the way, and it’s going to be based on science and facts about the best and most affordable ways to stay healthy, happy, and smart. Besides, I took ketamine, so you don’t have to.”
Mr. Swisher, who has long garnered attention for his technology coverage in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Recode, books and podcasts, will use his connections in Silicon Valley and beyond to work both as a reporter and as a guinea pig, investigating the emerging technologies that are shaping people’s longevity and health.
“This series is driven by Kara’s relentless curiosity, keen analysis, and singular access,” Amy Entelis, executive vice president of Talent, CNN Originals and Creative Development, CNN Worldwide, said in a statement. “With clear-eyed, thought-provoking storytelling, Kara takes viewers behind the curtain to investigate science, money, and the influences shaping a long-lived race.”
The series’ executive producer is Swisher. Entelis, Lyle Gamm and Katie Hinman star in CNN original series. EverWonder Studio’s Ian Orefice, John Adler, Amanda Spain, David Rivera, and Anna Chai. EverWonder is an independent content studio backed by former CNN CEO Jeff Zucker’s RedBird IMI.
