Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s eldest daughter North West made a surprise appearance at her father’s comeback concert in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
The father-daughter duo took to the stage together to perform their collaborative songs “Talking” and “Piercing on My Hand” to a packed SoFi Stadium filled with over 70,000 fans.
North wore an edgy streetwear outfit that included a black sweatshirt with a white star in the middle, oversized baggy pants, and large boots.
The 12-year-old also rocked her signature blue hairstyle and wore black sunglasses and a giant diamond skull necklace.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Kanye’s show lasted two hours and included a special guest appearance by fellow rapper Don Toliver.
He opened the concert with a few songs from his new album Bully, which was released on March 28th, and then performed some of his biggest hits, including “Donda,” “Father, Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1,” “Bound 2,” and “Heartless.”
When Kanye, 48, sang “Good Life,” he had to repeat the 2007 song multiple times because he said the lighting was “stale,” according to the LA Times.
“Is this like an SNL skit or something?” Kanye reportedly asked during the performance.
He then told the crew, “Stop vibrating, it’s the lights of Las Vegas, bro.”
The Grammy winner closed the show with his 2010 songs “All of the Lights” and “Runaway.”
He has a second show scheduled for Friday.
In January, the father of four apologized for his anti-Semitism in a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal, blaming his actions on a decades-old car accident that led to his bipolar disorder.
“When you’re manic, you don’t think you’re sick; you think everyone else is overreacting. You feel like you can see the world more clearly than ever before, when in reality you’re completely helpless,” he writes in an essay.
Kanye added that he ignored his “issues” and as a result, “said and did things that I deeply regret.”
He also declared, “I’m not a Nazi or an anti-Semite. I love Jews.”
Kanye’s controversial actions cost him several famous friends, including Jay-Z, Justin Bieber, and Kid Cudi, and also led to his divorce from Kardashian, 45.
The former lovers, who have four children, married in 2014, separated in 2021, and finalized their divorce in 2022.
In October, Kardashian appeared on “Call Her Daddy” and admitted that her relationship with Kanye was “toxic” at times.
She also said she was upset that Kanye had “revealed a lot of personal things” about him, including when he revealed that he considered having an abortion while pregnant with North.
“You never know what’s going to happen when you wake up. It’s a really unsettling feeling,” Kardashian said.
