Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker reunited on Thanksgiving, shortly after the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum announced their divorce.
Burruss posted a group photo of a large family gathering on Instagram on Thursday. The photo featured the former Bravolebrity, her daughter Riley Burruss, 23, Tucker’s daughter Kaela Tucker, 29, and the estranged couple’s two children, son Ace, 9, and daughter Blaze, 6.
“Happy Thanksgiving! I really enjoyed the day with my family. I hope you enjoy it! I’m as full as a turkey right now and I just want to lie down,” she captioned the upload.
With Todd noticeably absent from the photo, Kandi, 49, explained, “Before anyone could imagine, Todd was there first to eat with us, but he wasn’t there to take pictures. He wasn’t an outcast.”
While many fans praised Kandi, 52, for making sure Todd was included on her special day, others claimed Kandi didn’t owe anyone an explanation.
Kandi revealed last week that she and Todd are parting ways after 11 years of marriage.
“After much thought and much prayer, I have made the decision to proceed with divorce. These are difficult and emotional times, but my focus remains on maintaining my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect,” she said in a statement.
“I am stepping into a new chapter dedicated to work, family, and personal growth. I am grateful to everyone who has supported us over the years and ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”
The singer-songwriter shared a little more insight into the breakup a few days later, telling viewers on Amazon Live that it had been “brewing for a while.”
She admitted that her emotions during the breakup were marked by “highs and lows,” “all over the place” and “moments of sadness.”
“So the whole time you were watching me online (big smile) didn’t mean anything,” she confessed. “I’ve been through it, kid. I’ve been through it. Life has kept me alive.”
Kandi emphasized that she and Todd are on the same page about prioritizing their children as they “work through this transition” by being “very amicable.”
Todd hasn’t spoken publicly about his divorce, but the producer recently told his Instagram followers in a comment that he’s “dealing with a lot.”
