Kai Trump said her grandfather, Donald Trump, often berates her lines.
“My grandpa is calling,” the 19-year-old said in a YouTube video documenting her high school graduation on Friday.
While getting her hair done, Kai answered the phone and was heard telling the 79-year-old president: “Okay, I love you. Goodbye.”
The teenager gushed to the hairdresser: “You’re so cute. Isn’t it so cute that you call me all the time?”
“He’s literally like a grandpa. He was literally on his way back from China and called me. I know, he’s very, very cute.”
Kai, whose parents are Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, celebrated his graduation from Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens with an intimate dinner on Friday night.
Her mother’s boyfriend, Tiger Woods, attended the graduation ceremony but did not attend the dinner.
Donald Jr.’s fiancee Bettina Anderson and President Trump’s daughter Tiffany and her husband Michael Boulos also attended the celebration at Blackbird Restaurant.
In the shots obtained by Page Six, Kai was seen wearing a white minidress and silver heels.
The Florida resident plans to attend the University of Miami in the fall and play golf on the women’s varsity team.
Despite the commander-in-chief’s call, he was unable to travel to the Sunshine State for the special day.
In fact, President Trump will not be able to attend Donald Jr. and Anderson’s wedding over Memorial Day weekend.
“I wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump family, but my soon-to-be wife, Bettina, the government, and my love for the United States of America will not allow me to do so,” he wrote on Truth Social on Friday, the day after the couple were legally married.
The president added, “I feel it is important to remain in the White House in Washington, D.C., at this critical time.” “Congratulations, Don and Bettina! President Donald J. Trump.”
On Thursday, Page Six obtained a copy of the marriage certificate, which was filed in Palm Beach, Florida.
Donald Jr. and Anderson were married on a private island in the Bahamas.
Meanwhile, Vanessa, who also shares son Donald Trump III with her ex-husband, revealed earlier this week that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.
She announced the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, explaining that she was working closely with her medical team on treatment options.
“I remain focused and hopeful, surrounded by the love and support of my family, my children, and those closest to me,” Vanessa said.
