Justin Trudeau has reunited with his estranged wife Sophie Trudeau amidst a budding romance with Katy Perry.
Justin and Sophie, who have sons Xavier (almost 18) and Hadrian (11) and daughter Ella-Grace (16), celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with their family on Monday.
Sophie, 50, posted several photos from the gathering on her Instagram Story. One of the photos showed her estranged husband smiling at the camera as he made himself a plate. Their youngest child and another family member were also affected.
The former Canadian Prime Minister, 53, completed his look for the holidays with a dark green T-shirt and jeans.
Sophie went on to share close-up shots of traditional Thanksgiving food and photos of her dining room table, including seven place settings.
“Lucky to be alive, loved, and most importantly to be with my family on Thanksgiving! Sending light to you…,” the former TV presenter wrote over an image of a vast lake and bright sky, telling his followers.
While Justin was celebrating the holidays with his loved ones, his girlfriend was receiving a public proposal.
While performing in London as part of her Lifetimes tour, Perry invited a male fan to come on stage.
“I heard you’re single,” the man said, which the pop star found “interesting.”
He then got down on one knee and held out a sign to her that read, “Katy Perry, will you marry me?”
She jokingly replied, “Not today! Look, you should have asked me about 48 hours ago.”
Justin and the singer, who first sparked romance rumors in July, were photographed packing on the PDA aboard a yacht over the weekend.
The photo showed the politician grabbing Perry’s butt during a passionate make-out session.
Shortly after the photo made headlines, Sophie, who split from Justin in 2023, posted a cryptic message on Instagram.
“The things we love aren’t meant to be preserved forever. People, places, moments, they’re all meant to be lived, not owned,” she captioned a video saying the same thing, adding, “Connection isn’t something we hold on to, it’s something we feel when it’s here.”
She concluded, “Don’t try to keep what you have here, love yourself.”
One fan questioned the timing of her upload, commenting: “You didn’t release this after your ex was spotted with Katy Perry. You broke up with him. Didn’t you let him go a long time ago?”
