Justin Baldoni is bidding farewell to his Southern California mansion as the legal battle between him and Blake Lively intensifies.
The 42-year-old film director and his wife, Emily Baldoni, put their Ojai, Calif., property on the market for $8.9 million on Friday, according to property records. Baldoni reportedly purchased it in 2020 for $2.12 million.
The property is described as a “unusual retreat-style complex,” with five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and more than 5,200 square feet of space, according to Sotheby’s listing listing.
The property is spread over 10 acres and offers unobstructed views of the nearby Topatopa Mountains and Ojai’s iconic “Pink Moment” sunset.
Facilities include a yoga dome and guest dome imported from Poland, a custom-built tiny house, and a “regenerated orchard” filled with fruit and avocado trees.
Other outdoor amenities include a saltwater pool, in-ground trampoline, putting green, pickleball and basketball courts, a fire pit area, several walking trails, and a koi pond with a waterfall.
Justin and his wife got married in July 2013 and have a daughter, Maiya, 10, and a son, Maxwell, 8.
In an April 2023 interview with Architectural Digest, the couple opened up about their multimillion-dollar Ojai pad and how they spent two years renovating the property.
“We worked hard to make this house beautiful. The furniture couldn’t be an afterthought. We had to hire a designer,” the “Seraph of the End” actor and director said at the time.
“Emily and I both have great design sense, but we needed someone to pick out all the furniture and present us with options, and that’s exactly what Pottery Barn did,” he added.
Justin’s wife of nearly 13 years went on to describe the property as their “sanctuary,” inspired by his many trips to Mexico.
“We live in a magical place like Ojai, so we wanted that to be the inspiration for our home. It’s got mountains, it’s got rocks, it’s got stones, it’s got water, it’s very rustic, it’s very natural, and it’s just gorgeous,” said Emily, who spent almost three years putting the house on the market.
“I wanted it to feel like a sanctuary when I got home,” the Swedish actress added.
Before putting the property up for sale, the couple originally listed it as a rental in November for $40,000 and pulled it down two months later.
The couple bought a six-bedroom, six-bathroom home in Nashville over the summer for $3.4 million through a trust, and still maintain a farmhouse they bought in Los Angeles for $1.04 million in 2017, according to property records obtained by the newspaper.
Justin’s representatives did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Meanwhile, the decision to put their Ojai home on the market comes amid an escalating bitter legal battle with actor and director Lively, 38.
The Gossip Girl alum sued Justin in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. She is seeking more than $160 million in damages from her former Seraph of the End co-star and director.
Justin, who denied Lively’s claims, filed a $400 million countersuit in January 2025 accusing Lively of extortion and defamation, but the suit was later dismissed by a judge.
Their trial is scheduled to begin on May 18, 2026.
