Julia Roberts “blackmail” and “scary” of her “After the Hunt” co-star Chloe Sevigny when they meet.
The “Pretty Woman” actress recalled when she and Sevigny first crossed the road in an interview with Variety released on Thursday.
“To be honest, my beloved cups are so full, so as you can see, my beloved cups are so full. But I was so excited and scared to meet Chloe,” Roberts told the outlet.
Roberts, 57, recalls sitting at the kitchen table discussing “materials and rehearsals” with film producer Alan Mandelbaum, director Luca Guadanino and co-star Ayo Edebili. Also in the room was Roberts’ 20-year-old daughter Hazel. He was cooking lunch.
“Our producer Alan, he comes in and he says, ‘Chloe should be here in a few minutes.” And I look up and Ayo looks up and makes eye contact,” Roberts said.
When Guadagnino asked what was wrong, Roberts admitted that he was “I’m scared.” I urged the “Bear” actress to agree by saying “me too.”
“And Hazel says, ‘I’m gone.’ And then, like a minute later, the doorbell rings and Hazel says, ‘I’m going through the garage.’ ”
The “Erin Broccovich” star said she and the group were “very excited and threatened” for Sevigny to arrive.
For her, Sevigny had no problem bonding with Roberts from the jump.
“I mean, the first time I saw her, I came close to her,” Sevigny said. “However, she invited us to her house for rehearsals and we stayed at her beach house.
The 50-year-old “Big Glub” actress raves her time with Roberts, saying that she’s sad to say goodbye when the project wraps around.
“Can I say I needed more Julia when we left? I got on a plane and got into the house and I watched like three of your films. I just wanted more!” she said. “‘Notting Hill’, my best friend’s wedding,” and I can’t remember the third one. But I was like, “I just want more Julia!” ”
Roberts replied in tears in her eyes, “I’m so happy,” where her conversation had been recorded for the interview.
Sevigny doubled and when they finished work together she added that she “not ready to say goodbye.”
“Fortunately, there’s an entire canon that you can go home and keep watching,” she added that she filmed Roberts.
Their film is scheduled to appear in US theatres on October 10th.
