Julia Roberts is taking the vibe back to the 1980s with her latest look.
Roberts opted for a vibrant purple polka dot silk power suit on the red carpet at the 2025 Gotham Film Awards in New York City on Monday night.
The jewel-toned look included wide-leg pants and a double-breasted jacket. Her neckline suggested she was wearing a coordinating silk camisole underneath, while the jacket’s cuffs were trimmed with white shirt material for the illusion of a menswear-style shirt.
On her feet, she wore black point-toe pumps. She wore layers of colorful jewelry around her neck.
The actress’ hair was parted in the middle and cascaded down her shoulders in loose, beachy waves.
Roberts’ suit was designed by Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford’s Spring 2026 collection. The look originally debuted on the runway with a high-neck, collared silk blouse instead of a low-cut camisole.
Roberts and director Luca Guadagnino received the Visionary Tribute Award at an event for the film “After the Hunt,” which also starred Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield.
Roberts has long been a fan of power suits. She made a star with her role as Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman, and famously wore a gray men’s Giorgio Armani suit to accept the 1990 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress.
The Oscar winner has continued her fashion legacy over the past three decades, routinely donning power suits on red carpets around the world.
Just one month ago, the 58-year-old recreated his iconic Golden Globes look in a gray suit on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
Before that, Amanda Seyfried, who shares her stylist Elizabeth Stewart, attended the Venice Film Festival wearing the same oversized men’s blazer, albeit on a different date.
