Kamala Harris sat in an interview with former MSNBC host Joy Reid at her LA home to promote her new book on the presidential run, “107 Days,” but talked more about Donald Trump than Joe Biden.
Harris is currently on tour promoting the book, and Reid told Page Six only that no parameters were set for the interview.
However, the previous VP has not come much closer to answering Reid’s questions about the Biden administration, despite a book that provides candid anecdotes about her time as she is in office under his administration.
“This book isn’t about Joe Biden, it’s not about my vice president, it’s about contextualizing 107 days,” Harris said.
Reed interviewed former Veep Harris on YouTube for “The Joy Reid Show.”
The political host told Page 6 that Harris believes he “will be silent about going there” because of his loyalty to Biden.
“There was a bit of sadness about her not being used to seeing. She usually has a deep, joyous spirit. She has a lot of sadness and vigilance about what’s going on in the country,” Reid said.
In an interview, Reed also nurtured Trump’s 2024 appearance at the National Association of Black Journalists Conference, where Harris claimed he “just happened to turn black” for political reasons.
“I was born black, and I die black,” Harris rebelliously told Reid in a new interview.
Harris, whose father is Black Jamaican and whose mother is Indian, has previously dismissed Trump’s comments about her race as “the same old tired playbook.” It was a big topic during the election cycle, and even pop stars like Janet Jackson got caught up in the middle.
Harris also told Reed that he wrote a book titled “Because it was a historical race.”
“It really reads as a non-fiction political thriller. The US president, running for reelection three and a half months after the election, decides not to run. Vice President Sitting begins a race with the former US president.
