Josh Duhamel has revealed that his “end of the Apocalypse” in Minnesota is almost ready for a potential apocalypse.
“Well, I’m good enough. Not 100%, maybe 70%,” and the “Transformers” actor told people whether his home is ready for the catastrophe that ended the world.
In addition to finishing the cabin, Duhamel said he still needs to hone some of his skills.
“I can become a better hunter, I can become a better fisherman. I could stock up a little more food supply,” he confessed.
Earlier this month, the “All-My Children” alumni, who shares his 12-year-old son Axl with Ex Fergie and one son Shepherd with wife Audra Mari, revealed the “call” that moved from Los Angeles.
“I make movies and TV shows. I love it, I really love it, but I had this call and really started things over with my hands.
“I’m a person who really stays true to my roots, goes back to basics, hone the basic skills needed in this massive tech world and does the basics that provide families,” added Las Vegas actor 52.
“That’s really for me.”
Duhamel, who built an “end of the Doomsday Cabin” on the land an hour and a half outside Fargo, North Carolina, said his home was “feeling complete” and said it was “completely livable” after previously lacking electricity, running water and other amenities.
“We’re so used to all these luxury and these amenities we have…and I think that’s this for me. I think it’s an opportunity to go back to the basics and really enjoy the simple things in life.
In 2023, Duhamel announced that he would leave Hollywood and move to the Minnesota Woods cabin estate if “S-T hit the fan.”
“I think I’ve been a bit prepared for the end,” he said at the time. “I’m making something, so if things go south, there’s a place to take my family.”
Duhamel’s remote home also has a custom water filtration system and comes with a StarLink Internet connection.
