Josh Charles once had a word to describe Travis Kelce.
The Good Wife alum’s loyalty to the Baltimore Ravens was apparently at the root of his dissatisfaction with the Kansas City Chiefs star.
“I’ve always liked Travis Kelce and thought he was cool, but the year he beat us in the AFC Championship Game — we beat the Ravens — he was a real bad guy,” Charles, 54, said during a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, Jan. 5. “So I kind of drifted away from him. When I met him, I was like, ‘You know, I’ve always liked you, but you’ve been kind of a dick this year.'”
But Kelsey wasn’t offended, the Best Medicine star revealed.
“He laughed and said, ‘You know what, you’re right,'” Charles recalled.
The two met after Charles appeared in a winking cameo alongside Ethan Hawke in Taylor Swift’s “Fortnite” music video.

Dead Poets Society actors played scientists working in a lab while Swift was chained to an upright table reminiscent of a scene from Frankenstein.
Charles later shared a photo from the set on Instagram.
“I have long admired Taylor, but meeting her in person elevated my fandom to a whole new level,” he wrote. “Honest, kind, approachable and just an all-around great human being. Not to mention his kicks, he’s a coach!”
As it turned out, Charles was equally impressed with Kelce.
The 36-year-old NFL star and the actor later chatted about football, sharing a rapport that offsets Charles’ initial assessment of the player and the off-putting “swagger” he brought to a crucial 2024 game.
“He’s a really nice guy,” Charles told Fallon. “I really like him.”
But Ravens fans were depressed about the team missing the playoffs the night before Charles appeared on Fallon.
“Last night was tough. I almost had to cancel,” Charles joked to Fallon.
