Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was inspired by Travis Kelce during Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
During the second quarter, the NFL star paid tribute to the singer’s wife, Hailee Steinfeld, after scoring his first touchdown of the game.
The NFL belted out her 2015 song “Love Myself” as he excitedly slammed a football on the ground and celebrated with his teammates.
With Allen’s help, the Bills defeated the Chiefs 28-21.
Allen and the “Sinners” actress tied the knot in May in front of their loved ones in a California ceremony, and the bride looked stunning in a custom strapless Tamara Ralph dress.
“Josh says we have to talk about my dress now because I ‘wowed’ him when I got to the altar,” Steinfeld revealed in his newsletter, Beau Society, a few weeks after the wedding. “This is definitely the most perfect gown I’ve ever worn.”
Steinfeld, 28, and Allen, 29, chose to have a phone-free celebration, explaining, “We wanted everyone to come. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions we made.”
The actress went on to describe their “perfect” marriage, adding, “We’ve been married for 13 days and we’ll stay like this forever!”
The two were first linked in May 2023 when they were photographed having a sushi date in New York City.
Then, in July 2024, he made Instagram official, and five months later, he proposed on the waterfront, complete with flowers.
Steinfeld was photographed attending her husband’s games and cheering along with family, friends and members of the Bills Mafia.
“She’s been a big part. Morale, support. When I get home, she’s my biggest fan, my biggest supporter. She’s just the best,” Allen told The Associated Press in December 2024 about his wife’s game-day support.
However, it is unclear whether the Marvel star attended Sunday’s game.
Despite the team’s long-standing rivalry, Allen seems to have taken inspiration from Kelce, who never forgets to pay tribute to his fiancée, Taylor Swift.
Most recently, the tight end celebrated his 100th career touchdown by performing the “Fate of Ophelia” dance, a song from Swift’s 12th album, “Life of a Showgirl.”
Hollywood’s hottest couple got engaged in August after two years of dating.
